Kelly Miller

Kelly Miller is our Executive Director with 25 years of clinical and administrative experience across diverse healthcare settings, specializing in senior care, acute rehabilitation, and behavioral health.

In her various prior roles, she pioneered innovative programs including adaptive sports, horticulture therapy, and a wheelchair basketball team. She also established crucial community initiatives like a spinal cord injury support group and comprehensive volunteer programs. Kelly served as a Recreation Therapist for nearly a decade, developing specialized programs for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients with mental illness, substance abuse, and cognitive challenges. Her innovative approaches included music therapy, creative arts, animal-assisted therapy, adaptive sports, and targeted cognitive programming.

Kelly’s leadership experience includes serving as Center Director at Active Day of Charleston, where she managed all operational aspects while fostering community partnerships. Throughout her career, Kelly has demonstrated expertise in program development, regulatory compliance, and interdisciplinary team leadership. She is particularly passionate about creating innovative therapeutic solutions for senior care and rehabilitation.

Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation Management with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation from Frostburg State University and a Master of Health Administration with a focus in Gerontology from the University of Phoenix.
